Résumé :

Megan est une jeune scénariste-réalisatrice spécialisée dans les films de Noël. Tyrannique, elle mène une vie d'enfer à ses collaborateurs et sa vie de couple est un fiasco. Un jour, elle est, comme par magie, projetée dans une boule à neige où elle vit une existence parallèle.

Plot :

cynical television executive (ALICIA WITT) looks at the perfect world inside a snow globe and rants about how the Christmas movies she produces fall short of real life. Upset, she tries to smash the globe in to pieces, but instead, ends up knocking herself in the head. She wakes up in a perfect snow-covered town, married to her ex, Ted (DONALD FAISON), with two kids. Trying desperately to return to her old life, she slowly realizes the importance of family and begins to find happiness.

Résumé :

Craignant la faillite de la confiserie qu'elle a héritée de son père, Wendy, accompagnée de sa fille âgée de six ans, part en ville avant Noël dans l'espoir de gagner de quoi régler les créanciers. Grâce à son amie Angie, elle trouve un emploi temporaire chez Wolman, le plus célèbre grand magasin de la ville, où Noël est un moment privilégié. Mais la directrice du marketing veut moderniser l'établissement à tout prix et met à mal les traditions qui, pour Wendy et les propriétaires du magasin eux-mêmes, sont l'essence de la magie de Noël. Qui aura le dernier mot dans la querelle des «anciens» et des «modernes» ?

Plot:

With the threat of having to close her father's candy store, Wendy and her six-year-old daughter Grace travel to the big city in hopes of making extra holiday cash to save the store. When she's offered a job in the toy department of Wolmans, the city's biggest department store, Wendy can't wait! Her excitement doesn't last long when the store's manager, Teanna, destroys the Christmas spirit throughout the store and replaces Santa with a hunky male underwear model surrounded by elfin "babes." What Teanna is unaware of is that she has in fact sacked the real Santa. Unaware of his real "Santa" status, Wendy reaches out to the old man but it seems even he has given up hope. With her daughter losing faith in the holiday, Wendy realizes she must bring the true meaning of Christmas back to Wolmans before it is too late...

Résumé :

Une famille qui ne manque de rien matériellement mais dont les membres peinent à communiquer vit un drame lorsqu'elle perd tous ses biens. Elle est accueillie par un fermier excentrique, producteur de sapins de Noël, qui leur offre l'hospitalité et leur apprend le vrai sens de Noël et de la famille...

For the George family – accustomed to the luxuries of a privileged suburban life – Christmas has become a season of taking rather than giving. With dad preoccupied with work, mom on edge, and self-involved teens Nick and Natalie fixated on their ever-growing wish lists, the youngest, six-year-old Nina, is the only one with any true Christmas spirit. When their dad loses his job just before the holidays, the family ignores the severity of the situation and continues to live above their means.
